The Yards Survey Results
The Yards, which was a temporary pop up village green, is now over and will soon be dismantled in preparation for sensitive landscaping works to the area which will deliver a functional and accessible entrance to the hall, will honour the Anzac Memorial and create a vibrant, flexible and low maintenance open space connected to the west wing of the hall for the community to enjoy.
As part of the enLIGHTen Me Small Town Transformation Arts Grant, The Yards was embraced by so many local individuals, groups and businesses who helped run events, provided entertainment, maintained the space, tried out new ideas, promoted their locally made products, learnt new skills, shared their skills and generally just had some fun.
Locals got to have fun in the space and visitors stopped by to take selfies at the gateway the Birregurra Primary School’s stage backdrop.
